IF.. THREE Pictures? (My first work in FBE)

It's hard to give everything in my brain an election of three...

To elect one beautiful thing, one creative artwork and one great architecture...

Not easy really, coz the election is only one for each... Remember the story about Socrates
asking Plato which is the biggest golden ear in the corn field?...

From that joke I realize that, any choice we make is just like choosing a golden ear or a
lover... Nothing is the best thing, and Anything is better than nothing...

Lol... I don't know whether my lecturer will be here and see...If yes, excuse me for my
unseriousness...

Anyway, I gotta do this right now... Three things that could give a milestone in my career
as an architect...

PART1:

My most BEAUTIFUL thing is this...

photo taken by Ridley (if I can type a copyright mark, I will put it here)...time is just
yesterday afternoon...

“Twilight of Coogee”

once my friend asked me "what is beautiful thing for u?"

and I said, "when u see the right scene, at the right time, in the right angle, and with a

camera in your hands...take it!!!"

I guess yesterday...was just perfect chance & luck...But the real scene was far more

fantastic than the picture... (Next time, let's meet in coogee at 6.30 pm...with beer and

BBQ...)

PART2:

Then my creative ARTWORK

It’s a 2D drawing by software... Did when I dreamed about a house... No exact meaning

actually...

"Dreamed House for Living"

I did dream to be an architect when I was young. I even learned how to draw in my high

school...

But now, it's the first time in my life to be serious about it... This house is created for

simplicity and contact with the nature... If one day I can build it... I will grow grape on

the roof of it... and put inside a piano... that's all... my concept statement...lol...

PART3:

A Great Architecture

This is also a photo of my own...

it's part of the square of the library of my hometown, Nanjing, China...

"Detail: City Libirary of my Hometown"

Why I choose this as my Great Architecture... coz Mies van der Rohe said "Detail is God"

The library is a great building but not impresive as the famous ones...but I took the detail

of the decoration stone spheres in the sunshine and shadows...that shows the greatness of

the architecture... when the tall buildings are built up... we live in a city all in

shadows... it's a problem but also a decorative feature...
